DETROIT, MI, April 25, 2003 – UnitedAuto Group, Inc. (NYSE: UAG), a FORTUNE 500 automotive specialty retailer, today announced the grand opening of a new, state-of-the-art Ford dealership located in Goodyear, Arizona, one of the fastest growing areas in Arizona.
The new dealership is located on approximately 7 acres and offers 40,000 square feet of facilities, including 22 service bays. In addition to the ultra-modern showroom and service facilities, the dealership is equipped with a comfortable customer lounge, internet access, a parts boutique and other amenities.
Along with Steve Lyons, Ford Division President, UnitedAuto West Executive Vice President George Brochick presided over yesterday’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony. UAG Chairman Roger Penske, commenting on the new dealership said, “The opening of this facility demonstrates our continued commitment to support the needs of our retail customers with environments consistent with the OEM brands we represent. We are pleased to add this fine facility to our already strong presence with Ford in this important market.”
