DETROIT, MI, May 2, 2003 – UnitedAuto Group, Inc. (NYSE: UAG), a FORTUNE 500 automotive specialty retailer, today announced a correction to its April 28 press release on the completion of the Inskip Autocenter acquisition.
In that release, the company stated that the acquisition was completed for all 9 brands, including Acura, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volvo. Funding for the Acura acquisition has been placed in escrow pending final manufacturer approval.
